My name is Susan K. Edel, which is why I playfully capitalize the SKE in SKEdaddle. I am a Luxury Lifestyle Travel Agent operating a home-based business, Saratoga Travel. I concentrate solely on luxury resorts, cruises and tours.
I chose to start this blog, SKEdaddle, so I could specifically share with you some of my travel photography and favorite luxury resorts, cruises, tours and, from time to time, share offers on some amazing journeys.
I consider my specialty to be U.S. luxury spa resorts, particularly located on the West Coast but I am continually expanding my knowledge base. It is my intention to share my reviews and my photographs on the resorts I stay at and my experiences associated with my travels. Please note that the views and comments reflected on this site are all my personal opinion.
Through my travels, I have the opportunity to stay at many luxury resorts which satisfy my love of beautiful design, and the locations I visit allow me to photograph the scenery and beauty of the area. With this blog, I hope to share these passions with you. I hope you enjoy what you see and find the inspiration to treat yourself to a luxurious vacation. From time to time, I will offer trips under the “Take A Journey” page. Please use the “Contact Me” page to inquire about any of the trips offered.
I would love to have you follow my blog and I encourage you to “like” my Facebook page as I post and share a variety of travel information such as restaurants, resort drink and food recipes, and worldwide destinations and resorts. See here SKEdaddle on Facebook.
I love life and feel blessed to do what I do so I feel it’s important to show my appreciation and gratitude each and every day; therefore, I like to share inspirational quotes that are usually tagged on one of my original photographs and I hope it will inspire you in some way. I hope you enjoy this site and I encourage you to comment on what you see and what you would like to see more of, which will help me enhance this blog.
Thank you,
Susan

How do you get into a job like this? I am truly interested….I love to write, travel, and take photos. I also love camping, so I would be interested in the other end of the spectrum… ~Rainey
Hi Rainey,
I am a home-based agent who specializes in luxury travel because that is my love. The blog is something I started to share my love. If you are interested in being a travel agent, I would suggest either seeing if you could be hired by a retail agency for experience or you can become a home-based agent as well by attaching yourself with a “host” agency. My host agency is Nexion, LLC. Let me forewarn you, there isn’t much money in being a travel agent and the perks have certainly diminished over the years but if you are doing it for the love of travel, then you will really like it.
Oh, how I wish my specialty could also be U.S. luxury spa resorts… excellent choice!
Adding all of your posts to my destinations wish list!!!
Thank you. I believe in doing what you love and that is what I love!
Susan, thank you for taking time the time to stop by my blog and like it. The New Mexico pictures you posted today really caught my eye. I have wanted to travel down there and looked enviously at the road sign as we drove back to Pheonix last April. I am looking forward to traveling via your blog.
Take care,
Ivon
Thank you, Ivon.
Thank you so much for the follow!
you’re welcome.
Thank you for clicking follow at my website, Susan
Something weird has happen with my WordPress because I’m finding that a lot of blogs that I had been following – yours being one of them – I’m not following anymore. It isn’t until someone pops up on my blog that I think, I haven’t seen a post from them lately and when I go directly to their site, it shows that I’m not following them. Frustrating. I’ve also noticed that some people have added me when I know they had been following me…wordpress glitches I guess.
Thank you for oping by my blog and liking.
Sure thing!
Thanks for the follow over on my blog. I can hardly wait to dig into your posts…they look so good…
Nice to meet you Susan. You have enclosed a quote by my favourite author
Dear SKE:
Thanks for stopping by my blog. You have combined your love for travel with business. Although I and my wife are not avid travelers we do like to visit nice places outside the USA.
Thanks for visiting my humble blog! I also work in travel, but unfortunately in the background so I don’t get out and about to these fabulous places like you do!
Hi Susan, I am so inspired by the success of your blog and making it into a profession that I have nominated you for the 2012 Blog of the Year Award. Congratulations ! Emily aka Bella.
